International Caseus Laureate（ICL）は、 Edible Art を中核として、 チーズおよび食文化芸術の分野における 人物としての到達を、国際基準に基づき顕彰する国際称号制度です。
本構想は当初、競技形式による国際大会としても検討されていましたが、 検討を重ねる中で、 順位や勝敗によって優劣を決する形式では、 本質的な価値を適切に示すことができないという結論に至りました。
その結果、本構想は競技ではなく、 国際基準に整合する人物帰属型の国際称号制度として再定義され、 International Caseus Laureate として提示されています。
フロマジェ・ジャパン における過去の国内外コンクールは、 本制度に至るまでの重要な実践段階として位置づけられ、 その歩みは今後も公式に記録・継承されます。

International Caseus Laureate (ICL) is an international distinction that recognizes individuals who have reached a significant level of achievement in the fields of edible art and cheese culture, based on internationally recognized frameworks.
This distinction is structured in alignment with:
・ISO principles, ensuring fairness, transparency, reproducibility, and accountability in evaluation
・UNESCO frameworks, emphasizing the safeguarding and transmission of intangible cultural heritage and cultural diversity
The initiative was initially explored in the form of an international competition. However, through careful examination, it became evident that the values expressed through cheese and edible art cannot be adequately assessed through ranking, scoring, or competitive comparison.
As a result, the project was redefined not as a competition, but as a person-based international distinction system, designed to recognize cultural, artistic, and professional achievement in accordance with international standards.
Fromager Japan and previous international programs are positioned as practical stages that led to the establishment of this distinction, and their history will continue to be officially documented and preserved.
